Search-Finders of California, Inc. was founded in 1977 as a non-profit, volunteer search and support organization for adult adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents, and others searching for family members. The staff, some of whom are nationally certified by Independent Search Consultants (ISC), have over 45 years of combined experience.
Our motto is “Identity is Important”.
We strongly advocate the opening of sealed adoption records to adult triad members. As a member of the American Adoption Congress (AAC), we work in cooperation with other groups which have similar goals and objectives. We promote openness and honesty and encourage those qualities in adoption.
